S-Ateen is an anonymous fellowship of young people, ages 12 to 19, who are friends and family members of sexaholics.
We share our experience strength and hope (ESH) to help each other in recovery as we work the 12 Steps of S-Ateen.
We have no dues or fees. We are not affiliated with any religious denomination or express any political views.
The S-Ateen Online Community bridges the gap for those who wish to work a recovery program but have no local meeting nearby, or for those who need a place to share in between meetings. Ideally, the S-Ateen Online Community should not to be used as a substitute for attending a face2face meeting and working with a sponsor. If you don’t have a meeting in your area, hopefully your Higher Power will bring you one more person in the same struggle who would benefit from the fellowship. Together you might consider starting a local meeting. We encourage the sharing of the S-Ateen message.
All meetings hosted by the S-Ateen Online Community are closed. That means they are only for S-Ateen members and S-Ateen Group Sponsors registered on the site. Family members, friends, and others may not listen in on the meetings. Please respect this guideline as it helps keep our meetings safe and protects the anonymity of the S-Ateen members in attendance.
The S-Ateen Online Community features a bulletin board where members can post their feelings and ESH. We have an S-Ateen Group Sponsor who suggests a topic each week and then anyone can post at any time throughout the week. We follow the guidelines of a face2face group except that we can post our “share” any time, day or night.
The S-Ateen Online Community also hosts a schedule of weekly on-line voice meetings where two adult S-Ateen Group Sponsors will be present on this live meeting.
All S-Ateen postings and meeting chat should be consistent with the S-Ateen 12 Traditions. We share from the S-Ateen point of view, respectfully and with no offensive language.
Due to the sensitivity of our group, we qualify those who wish to join the S-Ateen Online Community. We ask that you briefly tell about what brought you to S-Ateen after successful account creation.
Because anonymity is the basis of our program, we ask that you initially log in using your personal email address, and then choose a user name. This username helps to protect your anonymity and the anonymity of other S-Ateen Online Community members. Do not exchange any personal information (email address, name, mailing address, phone numbers, etc.) with S-Ateen members on this site.
